Neil Palmer
CEO
As CEO, Neil leads the company in creating and operating a collection of iconic properties in desirable locations across the world that break the mould and make a difference within the hospitality field. In addition to being the inspirational leader of the Per AQUUM team and its operating portfolio, Neil’s other key focus is liaison with present and potential owners and investors who share this same vision. Prior to his role with Per AQUUM, Neil was Senior Vice President - Operations for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Asia Pacific Division and was responsible for its hotel operating and developing portfolio throughout Asia Pacific. Neil’s career with Starwood spanned 25 years until his departure in April 2009 and during his tenure he worked in Brunei, Malaysia, Australia, Fiji, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore. Neil is currently based at Per AQUUMs head office in Singapore.
Tilesh Rathod
Chief Financial Officer
With his extensive financial, operational and development background spanning over sixteen years, Tilesh manages the financial direction of Per AQUUM. His keen monetary vision works in tandem with the brand direction of Per AQUUM to ensure wise fiscal control over all aspects of the company. He has previously held key Regional financial positions with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and Hilton Hotels Corporation. He brings with him extensive expertise in high level negotiations with banks, creditors, legal advisors, financial consultants, government departments, acquisition partners and owners. This in depth knowledge will ensure the individual properties remain at the forefront of the luxury travel industry.
Dennis Herft
Vice President Project Development & Technical Services
An engineer by profession, Dennis started his career in the construction industry before joining Intercontinental Hotels Group, where he spent 25 years working in various positions including Regional Engineer and in various senior Technical Services roles. Dennis also worked with Starwood Hotels & Resorts from 1998 to 2007 as Vice President of Design and Technical Services. Dennis has travelled extensively throughout Asia and has lived in Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Australia and Singapore. He currently resides in Sydney, Australia and oversees all of Per AQUUM’s renovation projects and forthcoming new developments.
David Jones
Vice President Sales & Marketing
David started his career with Dunlop Slazenger in the sporting goods industry where he spent eleven years in various sales and marketing capacities. He then made an industry switch, joining Starwood Hotels & Resorts in 2000. During his impressive seven years with them, David worked as property based Director of Sales & Marketing, Area Director of Sales & Marketing and lastly Head of Marketing for Asia Pacific. David Joined Utell Hotels & Resorts in 2008 as Regional Vice President Asia Pacific, based in Singapore, before leaving in March 2009. In his role with Per AQUUM, David oversees all sales and marketing activities.
Andrew Spearman
Managing Director Resort Operations
Andrew has held a number of key managerial positions throughout the UK, Nigeria, Indonesia, Seychelles, Fiji, France and the USA. He has extensive operational experience and brings strong leadership to the group to improve on the award winning levels of service and guest experience. He is well placed to guide the project development team in creating and preserving the iconic, intimate style that Per AQUUM is known for. Andrew is fluent in English and French and conversational in German.
Mark Carson
Managing Director Branding & Communications
Mark’s exceptional knowledge and insight into luxury brands and his strong communication skills sets Per AQUUM apart as a company that offers its guests an individual, creative experience that makes a difference. His key responsibilities within the role include increased marketing and public relation activities, with a focus on luxury brand alliances and the presence of Per AQUUM's corporate identity in every aspect of the business. His most recent posting was International Publishing Director with the prestigious Quintessentially magazine, where he was responsible for establishing the team and for its successful launch. Prior to that, Mark held several senior publishing and consultancy roles in various prominent publications such as American Express Centurion/Platinum magazines, Condé Nast Traveller, House & Garden and GQ magazines.
Rajeev Chatterjee
Group Director – Finance
With over sixteen years of financial accounting and management experience, Rajeev works closely with Tilesh in setting targets for the individual properties, devising feasibility studies for new projects, setting pre-opening budgets in line with management contracts and liaising with key stakeholders and owners. He has previously held regional financial positions with Six Senses Resorts & Spas and has headed the financial function for the hotels division of Singapore Airlines (through SATS).
Marc Reader
Director Operations Support
A dynamic and enthusiastic individual, Marc offers 30 years of hospitality industry experience. Prior to Per AQUUM, he spent seven years at The Mansion Hotel at Werribee Park, where he held the position of Executive General Manager. Marc joined Per AQUUM as General Manager of Huvafen Fushi in 2007, injecting a breath of fresh air to the retreat with his infectiously enthusiastic personality and passion for people. Marc now works closely with Andrew to support Per AQUUM’s property operations and project development.
Stacey Dean
Director Public Relations
Stacey's role involves all public relations activities for Per AQUUM, ensuring targeted worldwide media coverage for both the company and each individual retreat, resort and residence. Stacey has been instrumental in maintaining consistent relationships with leading associations such as Small Luxury Hotels of the World and Quintessentially, and she has played a crucial role in establishing the reputation of the company on the international luxury travel scene. Previous employment has been within public relations consultancies in the UK that specialise in luxury travel, where she worked on the promotion of Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Taj Corporate, Abercrombie & Kent and Leading Hotels of the World.
Noel Cameron
General Manager, Huvafen Fushi by Per AQUUM
Over the past 20 years, Noel has worked in award-winning hotels and resorts across the UK, Africa and the Indian Ocean region, with his most recent position being Senior General Manager at the world renowned Singita Grumeti Reserve in Tanzania. Noel completed courses at Cornell University and in Singapore and holds certificates in finance, management and wine. He is passionate about voluntary work and helps to drive community initiatives and fair trade production when possible.
Axel Jarosch
General Manager Desert Palm by Per AQUUM
Axel is well travelled with an outstanding career history focusing on luxury operations in the Middle and Far East. His career has encompassed successful General Management tenures and he has a solid understanding of running both small and medium sized high-end resorts and hotels. Of German nationality, he brings keen business acumen to the role and is an exceptional communicator, being fluent in German, Spanish and English.
Angeline Leo
Executive Assistant to CEO & PR & Events Manager Asia/Pacific
Angeline joined Per AQUUM as Public Relations and Events Manager of Per AQUUM’s flagship property, Huvafen Fushi in the Maldives. After three years of island life she moved to Singapore to assist the CEO and manage the Public Relations within the Asia/Pacific region. Whilst at Huvafen Fushi, Angeline developed the renowned Dream Calendar concept which has introduced some of the world’s most iconic artists to the Maldives, establishing Huvafen Fushi as a trailblazer within the Indian Ocean. Angeline has over ten years industry experience in food and beverage, public relations and event management and has worked with a number of leading hospitality companies such as Westin, Raffles, Ritz-Carlton and Hilton.
